Alice Smith, DVM
I spent my childhood on a farm in Rector, Arkansas, taming barn cats and taking my father’s bird dogs to compete in the dog shows at the county fair. I first came to Conway to attend Hendrix College, where I graduated with honors in biology. I then attended Louisiana State University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where I received my DVM.
I first worked in general practice in Heber Springs, and then spent five years at the Animal Emergency Clinic in North Little Rock. I am excited to be back in general practice where I can build long-term bonds with my patients and clients.
My husband Mike and I were married in 2010. As Hendrix alumni, we are both glad to be back in Conway to build our lives and raise our daughter.
Aron Tallent , DVM, CVPM
In practice since: 1973
When I was growing up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, I helped my grandfather care for animals on his dairy farm. From those experiences, I acquired my passion for veterinary medicine. I attended the University of Arkansas as an undergraduate student and graduated in 1973 from Oklahoma State University with my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. After practicing in Bentonville, Arkansas and Poteau, Oklahoma, I purchased Conway Animal Clinic in 1976. I am one of the only two Certified Veterinary Practice Managers in the state of Arkansas. I believe that increasing the standard of care for pets will also increase the quality of life for their caregivers.
I married my wife Beverly in 1968. We have two sons, two daughter-in-laws and five wonderful grandchildren, Jacob, Kate, Ryan, Seth and Morgan. We also have a poodle named Bitsi who you may see at the clinic from time to time! My hobbies include landscaping, working in my greenhouse, serving in my church, helping on community service projects and being Grandad.
Angela Moore, CVT
In practice since: 1997
I graduated from Purdue University in 1997 with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. I have lived in Conway and worked at Conway Animal Clinic since graduation. In October of 2000, I married my husband Jeff. We have a daughter, Brittany, that was born in 2005 and we have five other “kids” — one cat (Chester), two miniature Australian Shepherds (Dixie and Ruby) and a three legged rescue “Lady”.
For fun I enjoy spending time with family, hiking, camping, singing at church and snug¬gling up with my pets.
Lori Hoggard, Kennel Assistant
I started working at Conway Animal Clinic in August of 2013, but grew up on a farm and have been working with animals my whole life. I love getting to meet all of the different animals that come into our clinic and help make their visit with us a little better. I am the owner of three cats (Fat Daddy, Jazz and Pepe). Outside of work, I enjoy camping, hiking, hitting the gym and hanging out at home with my kitties.
